-“Six years ago, I went to Australia alone by helicopter for a business meeting. I was so excited because, since my father’s death, this was the first time that I had replaced him. It happened last year on the West coast of Australia. I was on the beach with my brother. He went to swim while I was tanning. Suddenly I heard screams and got up just before I saw a giant shark eating people! It was a megalodon. I started to run away as fast as I could but then I saw my brother in the ocean. He had fainted. I ran to him but the megalodon was between us. The coast guard arrived and began to throw some harpoons at the monster. I was on the coast, watching the most terrible thing I had ever seen. An hour later, the megalodon was weaker, it understood that it couldn’t win the battle so it escaped into the depths of the sea. There were lots of bodies in the water. I found my brother, the megalodon had eaten one of his legs. Now, my brother has only one leg but we are still alive. And the megalodon is under the water, near Australia, ready to attack again.

THE ATHENS MODEL UNITED NATIONS

Between the 1st and the 4th of March 2018, we went to HMUN to Athens. On the first day, we went to Novotel and started meeting new persons and tried to get to know the people who were in our committee. Then, we went to the Opening Ceremony where each ambassador of each country delivered a speech to talk about the main issues and the position of the country towards these problems. It lasted a long time but it was important for all delegates to know better the country and try to form alliances by passing notes during the entire ceremony. After a break, we were in the committee we belonged to: personally I was in the UN preventing and countering terrorism committee. I chose this committee because terrorism is now one of the biggest global issues and I was really interested to talk about it.  Some countries started delivering a speech on the policy of their country so that other countries can come to them and understand their ideas for writing the resolution.
